Florence Hammond House

Midlands-based, purpose built forty bedroomed residential + retirement + care home in need of complete repair. Previous owners - Birmingham City Council - transferred ownership of the Broadway Avenue building to an independent trust that MLC York worked in depth on complex issues to painstakingly restore the vandalised building. Damaged to almost ruin with all copper + metal removed, the publicly sensitive site required extensive planning from concept to redesign. Located in a residential area, MLC York professionals designed infill extensions and complete repair work including rewiring, plumbing + full decoration before establishing restful secure grounds for future residents.
